Baker Receives AAAE Corporate Cup of Excellence Award

The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) honored Michael Baker Jr., Inc., a unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), with its prestigious Corporate Cup of Excellence Award, presented at the 84th Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition held in Phoenix, Ariz., on May 2, 2012. Accepting the honor on behalf of Baker were Ken Holt, vice president; Dennis Wiehl, AIA, vice president; and Claudia Holliway, national aviation business developer and AAAE Board member. Ms. Kelly Johnson, A.A.E., airport director, Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, and AAAE Board of Directors chair, presented the award.

“Baker has served the aviation community since it was founded in 1940,” said Johnson. “AAAE is pleased to honor the firm’s long-standing commitment to the industry and recognizes the many innovations and sustainable solutions it has delivered over the years.”

Since 1986, AAAE has presented its annual Corporate Cup of Excellence to the member company making the most significant contributions and improvements to AAAE, its chapters and the aviation industry in general. AAAE’s 5,000-plus members provide nominations for the award with final selection made by executive members of the AAAE Board.
