Saturday, June 30, 2012 11:11 AM

WASHINGTON, June 30 (UPI) -- The White House payroll grew this year to $37.8 million from 2011's $37.1 million, the White House's annual report to Congress on staff salaries shows.

The report, submitted to Congress Friday, also showed an increase in staff, from 454 employees last year to 468 in 2012, Politico reported.

The White House has yet to comment on the growth, however the payroll is still smaller than it was in 2009, when it totaled $39.1 million.
