Argus listed in inaugural league table of top 200 UK exporters

Sunday, July 08, 2012 1:00 AM

LONDON, July 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading energy and commodity price reporting organisation Argus has gained a place in the inaugural "The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200" league table of UK companies with the fastest growth in export sales.

Companies in the International Track 200 have averaged two-year international sales growth of 10-500pc/yr. Argus' average international sales growth of 28.51pc/yr puts it in 151st place.

The table ranks 200 companies by international sales growth averaged over the last two years (2009-11). This year's table differs from previous years' International Track listings, increasing in size to 200 companies, from 100, and looking at larger companies.

The league table is published in the Sunday Times on 8 July.

"We are delighted to be one of the fastest growing companies in the UK for international sales," Argus chairman and chief executive Adrian Binks said. "We report on international sectors such as energy and fertilizer markets and are pleased that we are successfully expanding our sales to foreign customers. A long established overseas presence is crucial to Argus' success and underpins our growing sales volumes."

The International Track 200 forms part of a highly-respected series of company league tables, including the Fast Track 100, in which Argus is one of only two companies to have featured five times.
