ChannelAdvisor and Buy.com Host Joint Webinar to Help Retailers Enhance Online Visibility

Tuesday, July 10, 2012 8:36 AM

ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce software provider that helps retailers be seen and sell more across online channels, today announced a joint webinar with Buy.com to educate retailers on the benefits of selling on the Buy.com marketplace. ChannelAdvisor’s global platform offers retailers access to numerous sources of demand and enhanced product visibility by supporting a variety of online marketplaces such as Buy.com, eBay, Amazon and more.

“With the explosion of third-party marketplaces over the past 18 months, the opportunity for incremental revenue from marketplaces like Buy.com is real, and savvy retailers are jumping on this opportunity now,” said ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo. “On average, ChannelAdvisor customers on two or more marketplaces are selling 200 percent more than those selling on just one marketplace. That’s impressive and very worthwhile for anyone selling online. Our innovative solution offers online retailers additional ways to diversify their e-commerce programs, and Buy.com is a great place to start.”

ChannelAdvisor and Buy.com have a long-standing partnership that enables retailers to successfully sell on the marketplace and master multichannel e-commerce. Buy.com offers retailers access to more than 12 million shoppers looking for name-brand products in consumer electronics, toys, home and garden and many other categories.

“As a Rakuten company, we naturally offer a platform that supports a merchant-centric experience, empowering our merchants in order to empower the customer shopping experience,” commented Buy.com Senior Director George Chang. “Retailers have a fantastic opportunity to reach our large customer base through the ChannelAdvisor platform, which simplifies the set-up process for retailers to sell on Buy.com. Additionally, our partnership with ChannelAdvisor allows us to continuously provide consumers with a great buying experience and a broad selection of retail goods at everyday low prices.”

Chang and ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces Business Analyst Gina DeFrank will host the joint webinar on July 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. EDT to discuss what sets Buy.com apart from other marketplaces, along with how retailers can reach new consumers and accelerate marketplace sales.
