HAMPTON, Ga., July 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- NASCAR fans in Georgia can save on tickets to the upcoming AdvoCare 500 on Sept. 2 with the Walmart Family Track Pack. The $99 package gives families four race tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and one program – a total savings of more than $100.

Atlanta Motor Speedway accounts for more than half of metropolitan Atlanta's total revenue derived from sports, according to a 2000 study done by the Atlanta Sports Council. The early fall race at the speedway resulted in an estimated $90 million economic impact to the state in 2007, according to a 2010 article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
The speedway is located about 30 miles south of Atlanta in Hampton, generating revenue for Henry County as well. Races at the speedway were responsible for "the lion's share" of $180 million in tourism revenue in Henry County in 2008, according to the article.
The Walmart Family Track Pack is available online at www.walmart.com/NASCAR and in Ticketmaster kiosks in select stores.
Race Time 2012 at Walmart
In addition to the race ticket package, Walmart's Race Time 2012 program gives fans authentic NASCAR merchandise and unique fan events at stores.
Beginning Aug. 30, select Walmart stores in the Atlanta area will host NASCAR fan events featuring real stock racing car displays and racing simulator machines – perfect to safely get behind the wheel and feel the power of NASCAR.
