comScore Chairman Gian Fulgoni Awarded Honorary Fellowship By University of Glamorgan in Wales

RESTON, Va., July 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today announced that Gian Fulgoni, its executive chairman and co-founder, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the University of Glamorgan in Wales. The Award of Honorary Fellowship, which recognizes the efforts and achievements of individuals who have served a discipline area with particular distinction, acknowledges Mr. Fulgoni's distinguished career in the field of market research.

Mr. Fulgoni has served as executive chairman at comScore since September 1999. Previously, he was president and CEO at Information Resources, Inc. (IRI), which he grew to be the largest U.S. market research company in 1996. Mr. Fulgoni has received numerous industry awards, including the Wall Street Transcript Award in 1992 for outstanding contributions as CEO in enhancing the overall value of IRI to the benefit of its shareholders. In 1991 and again in 2004 he was named Illinois Entrepreneur of the Year, the only person to have twice received that honor and in 2008 he was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Also in 2008, Mr. Fulgoni was inducted into the Chicago Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.

Professor Peter Hodson, public orator at the awards ceremony, said: "The University of Glamorgan has today conferred upon Gian Fulgoni an Honorary Fellowship of the University. Gian has his origins within the local Welsh community and is now recognized as one of the world's foremost experts in measuring and predicting consumer behavior. His achievements and entrepreneurial skills in market research are acknowledged by the University in conferring this award."

In accepting the award, Gian Fulgoni commented: "Having been born and raised in South Wales, I'm especially delighted to receive this honor from the University of Glamorgan, which plays such a significant role in the economic, social and cultural advancement of Wales."
