Akamai Appoints Jim Ebzery as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading cloud platform for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, anywhere, today announced the appointment of Jim Ebzery as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas.  Based in Akamai's Cambridge, Mass. headquarters, Ebzery will lead sales, services and marketing operations across the Americas.  He reports to Robert Hughes, Akamai's Executive Vice President of Global Sales, Services and Marketing.

Ebzery brings nearly 30 years of executive leadership experience across various high technology disciplines to his role at Akamai.  Most recently, he ran the Security, Management and Operating Platforms business at Novell, where he led the growth of the security business and expansion of their strategic cloud business.
