Amerigroup Receives Diversity Honor

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Amerigroup Corporation (NYSE: AGP) has been named as one of the 40 Best Companies for Diversity by Black Enterprise Magazine.

Black Enterprise sent surveys to the top 1,000 publicly traded companies as well as the 100 leading global companies with strong U.S. operations. The survey focused on activities related to the participation of African Americans and members of other ethnic minority groups and covered four categories: employee base, senior management, board of directors and supplier diversity.

Amerigroup was noted as having strength in diversity representation in employee base and senior management categories.
