Posadas will migrate and consolidate its IT from its data center infrastructure to cloud-centered solutions hosted in a Savvis data center in Dallas. Posadas will employ a combination of Savvis' enterprise-class services, including Symphony Dedicated private cloud, hosting, storage and security.

"Posadas' rapid expansion and growth in Mexico, with nine new hotel openings in 2012, requires an agile, flexible, reliable and secure technology platform. As we considered potential service providers, it quickly became clear that Savvis' cloud services portfolio aligns with our vision and business goals with a broad range of flexible enterprise-class solutions that will allow us to be successful in transitioning to a corporate cloud computing model," said Leopoldo Toro Bala, CIO at Posadas.

"We are excited to work with Posadas on an all-encompassing IT infrastructure solution that is tailored to make the company more agile and innovative," said Steve Garrou, vice president of global solutions management at Savvis. "As the Posadas business continues to evolve, Savvis' cloud and IT infrastructure solutions will offer them the maximum IT flexibility needed to support their long-term business growth."

Burstorm, which specializes in helping enterprises move to the cloud, provided an implementable cloud strategy in 118 days and continues to serve as a trusted adviser to Posadas.

"We see the shift to cloud computing as today's version of the shift to the client-server model that took place 20 years ago," said Brandon Abbey, chief executive officer of Burstorm. "We look forward to continuing to work with Savvis and other top tier compute, storage, data center and network cloud service providers to deliver the cloud services our customers need."
