National 4-H Council and UnitedHealthcare today announced a new
partnership at the 50th Annual South Carolina 4-H Congress to promote
healthy living in helping tackle the nation’s obesity epidemic.

South Carolina 4-H will receive $30,000 of a $300,000 grant shared among
10 states. The partnership, known as "Eat4-Health," will
activate thousands of 4-H youth to make healthy choices for themselves,
their friends, families and communities. More than 100 South Carolina
4-H youth and community leaders participated in the announcement at the
50th Annual South Carolina 4-H Congress where they joined
UnitedHealthcare's mascot Dr. Health E. Hound for a healthy group
exercise and hands-on learning activities about healthy eating.
