The advertising campaign launches nationwide this fall and will include
multiple television commercials and print advertisements for the Foster
Grant sunglasses and reading glasses collections. In a nod to the
brand’s history, the campaign will feature the well-known “Who’s that
behind those Foster
Grants? ®” tagline, which was recognized by Advertising Age
as one of the Top 100 Advertising Campaigns of all time.
“FGX
is delighted to announce our working partnership with Brooke Shields,”
said Gina Lazaro, CMO of FGX
International. “Brooke’s wide-ranging appeal and natural beauty make
her a perfect fit for the Foster
Grant brand, helping us to expand the brand’s history of working
with the most well-respected, talented, and brightest Hollywood stars.
We could not be more thrilled to add her to the list of exceptional
talents whose names have answered the age-old question, ‘Who’s that
behind those Foster
Grants? ®’
The campaign will include television commercials, print ads and in-store
signage. All ads will also be viewable on FosterGrant.com
and on the Foster Grant social media sites. FGX
has invested multi-millions in consumer advertising for its collection
of sunglasses and reading glasses in 2013.
“I’m so honored to become a part of the Foster
Grant family, and to work in this next chapter of the brand’s
storied history,” said Brooke Shields. “The ‘Who’s that behind those Foster
Grants? ®’ tagline is such a recognizable piece of pop
culture, and I’m excited to help bring it to life again in partnership
with the Foster
Grant team.”
