Gannett's KUSA-TV in Denver is the top-rated station in the country for London Olympic coverage among adults 25-54

Gannett's NBC affiliates' KUSA-TV, KARE-TV and WXIA-TV are top three performing stations among adults 25-54 Six of top 10 ranked NBC stations are Gannett-owned

MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Three Gannett-owned television stations, KUSA-TV in Denver, KARE-TV in Minneapolis and WXIA-TV in Atlanta, are the top rated NBC affiliates for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London among the key advertising demographic of adults 25-54 during prime time. KUSA in Denver is the No. 1 rated NBC station and is averaging a 51 share in prime time.

Three additional Gannett-owned NBC television stations placed among the top 10 highest-rated local television stations in the 25 largest television markets, according to Nielsen LPM overnight ratings. Gannett's KSDK-TV in St. Louis is fifth. KPNX-TV in Phoenix and WKYC-TV in Cleveland tie for sixth. Overall, Gannett stations take four of the top five and six of the top 10 spots. Ratings are up significantly from the Beijing Games.
