CANTON, OH and PALM SPRINGS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/13/12 -- Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) to deliver the keynote on October 16 at the first-ever IAITAM CXO Executive Conference, a private conference for C-level executives focusing on IT Asset Management and managing the business of IT.

Microsoft's General Manager Worldwide of Antpiracy, Dinis Couto, will open the conference with a keynote on software asset management issues and how it affects business operations, financials and why senior executives should care.

"With the explosion of awareness and need for ITAM best practices and standardization, Microsoft felt the need to add its voice and commitment to the world's longest running and largest conference for ITAM," said Mr. Couto.

The IAITAM CXO Executive Conference will focus on the IT challenges executive management face today and in the future, while offering an opportunity to network and share experiences on a peer-to-peer basis. Patricia Cicala, a seasoned IT analyst and the IAITAM CXO Director, will lead group discussions on:

  • Aligning IT with business objectives
  • Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
  • Cloud Computing
  • Data/IT Security
  • Financial cost cutting
  • IT Management
  • IT overspend
  • Software vendor management from legal matters to realizing significant cost savings

"We've successfully held smaller CXO forums throughout the United States and all have expressed interest in the growing CXO program," said Barbara Rembiesa, CEO of IAITAM. "CIOs, CTOs, CAOs, and other CXOs are seeking a place to gather to not only talk about the business aspects of IT, but to share strategic as well as tactical solutions with each other to solve their enterprise challenges. Our CXO event is geared towards educating, learning and sharing."

The IAITAM CXO Executive Conference will be held in Palm Springs, CA from October 16-17, 2012, preceding the IAITAM 2012 Annual Conference & Exhibition, the largest and oldest conference focused on IT asset management (ITAM).
