Monday, August 13, 2012 11:05 AM

NEW YORK, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Crude oil held close to steady Monday morning on the New York Mercantile Exchange, holding under $93 per barrel with the dollar index off 0.3 percent.

Some traders are betting on the People's Bank of China, which is seen as likely to announce a stimulus measure in the wake of recent weak economic data.

The natural gas price was 0.3 cents higher at $2.773 per million British thermal units.

Home heating oil was off 0.8 cents at $3.0197 a gallon.

Reformulated blendstock gasoline shed 3.1 cents to reach $3.0008 a gallon.

At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.696 Monday from $3.692 Sunday, AAA reported.
