Penguin Computing Expands With New Office for the East Coast Customers

Wednesday, September 12, 2012 8:00 AM

Penguin Computing, a leader in high performance computing (HPC), is expanding its operations by opening a sales, support, and engineering office in CentergyOne, Technology Square, in Atlanta, Georgia. At this facility Penguin is working in affiliation with the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute and the Advanced Technology Development Center.

“Our decision to open an office and move more employment to Atlanta is based on several factors; our customers in the area, our ability to increase collaboration with Georgia Tech, one of the top research institutions in the world, and probably most important, the pool of technical talent available to meet our growing needs,” said Charles Wuischpard, CEO Penguin Computing.

For well over a decade Penguin Computing has been delivering integrated, Linux-based solutions for the enterprise and HPC space. The company has successfully placed hundreds of HPC clusters ranging from departmental clusters to multi-million-dollar 'Top 100' supercomputers to a wide range of industry verticals such as academia, government, life sciences, manufacturing, financial services and web hosting. Based in Silicon Valley, the addition of the Atlanta office will increase Penguin Computing’s presence on the East Coast and better leverage relationships with key customers in the region.
