Sightline Payments, Along With Industry-Leading Partners, Announces Loyalty Card Plus Prepaid Card for the Gaming Industry

Wednesday, September 26, 2012 2:00 PM

Sightline Interactive, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sightline Payments (Sightline), an innovative payments company to the land-based and online gaming industry, today announced it has recently entered into arrangements with Vantiv (NYSE:VNTV), Bally Technologies (NYSE:BYI), and Discover for a uniquely innovative general purpose reloadable prepaid card program specifically designed for gaming operators.

Loyalty Card Plus is the first gaming industry-specific prepaid card solution that allows patrons a safe, secure, and responsible way to enjoy their gaming entertainment both on and off casino properties.

For gaming purposes, cardholders can transfer funds, in real time, utilizing Sightline’s proprietary closed-loop SPAN network, to and from Brick & Mortar, Race & Sports, and Interactive (iGaming) Wagering Accounts for use at slots, table games, race and sports books, social gaming sites, and iGaming sites. Using the open-loop general purpose reloadable prepaid card, which runs on the Discover network, cardholders can make cash withdrawals (including ATM) or purchases within or outside the casino property for travel, dining, hotel and more at locations everywhere Discover is accepted.

Cardholders can prefund their accounts online, through their mobile phone or load funds at the casino with cash, jackpot payouts, and numerous other ways including TITO tickets. Gaming operators can fully customize every detail of their prepaid card program by leveraging their own brand and unique marketing tools.

Unveiling at this year’s G2E show in the Bally Technologies booth, Loyalty Card Plus will be on display, demonstrating how secure and responsible “cashless gaming” may be done in the future at more than 400,000 slots connected to Bally game system customers around the world.

“The Loyalty Card Plus solution is revolutionary and required a multifaceted technology solution. From not requiring casinos to change their existing loyalty cards to making certain that customers are able to have true portability of funds with broad acceptance, our great partners helped solve these major issues with their unique electronic payments and game system platforms,” said Kirk Sanford, Sightline Payments Founder and CEO. “We are excited about our partnerships and the opportunity to bring to market the industry’s most exciting new payments product.”

“Our relationship with Sightline brings increased value and customization with creative prepaid and online payment solutions to the gaming industry,” said Donald Boeding, President of Merchant Services at Vantiv. “Our industry-leading solutions and flexibility, along with Sightline's seasoned team of gaming payment executives with proven expertise, enabled us to develop the most intelligent and customized solutions available.”

“This agreement validates the success and innovation that Sightline and Bally have achieved to date and the enormous market opportunity for our combined cashless gaming strategy,” said John Connelly, Vice President of Business Development at Bally Technologies. “We have seen strong customer demand to create solutions that bring together payment solutions and Bally game systems and we are excited to be showing them at this year’s G2E.”

“This relationship expands the reach of the prepaid arena and will allow consumers the ability to securely and effortlessly access their funds and utilize them at point-of-sale locations and at online merchants, everywhere Discover cards are accepted,” said Jeff Lewis, Director, Alternative Payments and Prepaid at Discover.
