SIGCHI, the premier international society for professionals, academics, and students interested in human-technology and human-computer interaction, announced the recipients of the 2013 SIGCHI Awards, including PARC's Victoria Bellotti for her work in human-computer interaction and user experience research. Bellotti is a Principal Scientist and the developer of PARC's Opportunity Discovery research and strategic investment targeting program, which assists clients in identifying the best direction to move with new technology-centered business ventures.

Lawrence Lee'scontribution "Innovation as a Business: How to Create a Repeatable and Sustainable Innovation Engine" was selected as a finalist for the Innovating Innovation Challenge, which is presented by Harvard Business Review and McKinsey & Company, and powered by Management Innovation Exchange (MIX). "The judges and the MIX editorial team poured over more than 140 contributions from innovators from around the world and from every kind of organization--looking for depth, boldness, originality, thoroughness, and the ability to inspire and instruct in equal measure," said the MIX judging panel in a statement.

"This is what we live and breathe daily here at PARC because we are actually in the Business of Breakthroughs," said Lawrence Lee, Senior Director of Strategy at PARC and author of the Innovating Innovation paper.
