HARRISBURG, Pa., March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board today invited Pennsylvanians to enjoy all the magnificence and grandeur the 2013 Philadelphia Flower Show has to offer during its run from March 2 - 10 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia. This year's theme "Brilliant" recreates the best of Great Britain through flowers.
In addition to the spectacular floral displays, flower show attendees will have the opportunity to meet two television stars. On Thursday, March 7, Sandra Lee, the Emmy award-winning expert in all things kitchen and home, will sign bottles of the new Smirnoff Sorbet Light Vodkas from 5–7 p.m. in the Grand Hall near the PA Wine & Spirits store.
Sandra is the host of four highly rated culinary programs on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel, including "Sandra's Money Saving Meals," "Semi-Homemade Cooking," "Restaurant Remakes" and "Taverns, Lounges & Clubs." Sandra also works with numerous philanthropic organizations, including UNICEF and Feeding America and is a spokesperson for Share our Strength's No Kid Hungry Campaign.
On Saturday, March 9, Ramona Singer, star of "The Real Housewives of New York City", businesswoman and fashion aficionada, will sign bottles of Ramona Pinot Grigio from the Veneto region of Italy and Ramona Red: Sangiovese Merlot Blend in the Grand Hall near the PA Wine & Spirits store from 2-4 p.m. The flower show is the first time Pennsylvania consumers will be able to purchase Ramona Red: Sangiovese Merlot Blend, the star's new signature red wine produced in Tuscany, Italy. All of the products mentioned will be available for purchase at the on-site PA Wine & Spirits store.
Guests, 21 and older, can enjoy daily tastings of more than 100 wines and spirits from around the world from 2-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1-4 p.m. on Sundays. Special guest, Martin Dawson, the co-owner of the classic English gin, Broker's Gin, will be appearing at the PA Wine & Spirits tasting area through March 7 during regular tasting hours, to sign bottles, pose for pictures and provide information to consumers.
For added convenience, the PLCB has an on-site PA Wine & Spirits store, open from noon to 9 p.m. Monday - Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, making it easy to purchase any favorites from the tastings.
