"The Unirac GMT is the result of years of proven performance from a company that has made quality service a priority," says Peter Lorenz, Unirac CEO. "This product is designed to reduce project costs, as well as the risks and complexity of installations in the field. We believe that excellence starts does not stop with the product. Our comprehensive services assist contractors with everything from project management and foundation design to installation training, commissioning, and permit support."

Reliability is a key feature of Unirac's GMT. Maintenance-free split bearings allow for fluid rotation of the torque tube and are engineered to withstand 30 times the dynamic load, 70 times the static load. The GMTs actuator is a proven technology used for more than 100 years in the automotive industry. Tested for harsh environments, installers will also benefit from reduced copper, power requirements, wiring and trenching from traditional drive systems.

In addition, the tracker comes standard with a "plug-n-play" controller, intuitively designed to drive pairs of actuators on shared foundations. All of these features reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for solar installation, removing unnecessary material, substantially reducing labor requirements and increases the overall strength and reliability of solar racking over the long term.

"The GMT is a simple and efficiently designed tracker that offers a surprising amount of features that save time and money on the job site," says December Cowen, Unirac Senior Product Manager. "Innovative features like the slip-on Teflon bearings, beam clips, and Hilti powder-actuated fasteners, establish smart new standards and create a simpler installation process."

The GMT is also backed by an industry leading structural performance warranty of 20 years. Unirac's full line of innovative PV mounting solutions, including the GMT, is on display at Intersolar, booth 9411 through Thursday, July 11.In addition, please join December Cowen at the Innovation and Application Stage on Wednesday July 10th at 10:30am Moscone West, Level 3, Booth 9659.
