Dividend Scan: SFI, NLY, VTR, ALL, YDNT, FBSS, NDSN, AMSWA

Amidst the negative movement of the US stock indexes, several companies declared their future dividend plans. Some notable dividend payers are discussed here.

iStar Financial Inc. (NYSE: SFI) announced a  quarterly dividend of 50 cents per share, payable on June 15,  2011 to shareholders of record on June 1, 2011. Shares lost 3.54 percent or 30 cents to trade at $8.05.

Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NYSE: NLY) declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.4921 per share, payable on June 30, 2011 to shareholders of record on June 1, 2011. Shares gained 0.14 percent or 2 cents to trade at $17.78.

Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR) announced a regular quarterly dividend of $0.575 per share, payable on June 30, 2011 to shareholders of record on June 10, 2011. Shares added 0.17 percent or 9 cents to trade at $54.33.

Allstate Corp. (NYSE: ALL) declared a quarterly dividend of 21 cents per share, payable on July 1, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 31, 2011. Shares lost 0.12 percent or 6 cents to trade at $32.46.

Young Innovations, Inc. (Nasdaq: YDNT) announced a quarterly dividend of 4 cents per share, payable on June 15, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 23, 2011. Shares added 0.60 percent or 18 cents to trade at $29.98.

Fauquier Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: FBSS) declared a quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share, payable on July 1, 2011 to shareholders of record on June 17, 2011. Shares added 0.55 percent or 7 cents to trade at $12.87.

Nordson Corp. (Nasdaq: NDSN) announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.105 per common share, payable on June 14, 2011 to shareholders of record on June 1, 2011. Shares were down 0.61 percent or 31 cents to trade at $50.70.

American Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMSWA) declared a quarterly dividend of 9 cents per share, payable on September 9, 2011 to shareholders of record on August 19, 2011. Shares added 0.41 percent or 3 cents to trade at $7.37.
