(By Mani) Google (GOOG), which will conduct its I/O developer event from June 27 to June 29 at Moscone center, San Francisco, is expected to launch new Android and Chrome devices at the much-anticipated event.

Google I/O attracts both investors as well as technology enthusiasts and would have technical, in-depth sessions on mobile, and enterprise applications with Google and open web technologies such as Android, Chrome, Chrome OS, Google APIs.

The search engine giant is expected to announce a 7-inch Google branded Android 4.0 tablet made by Asus, and may launch the next generation of Chrome OS device called Chrome Books with Samsung.

The Google tablet, which may not be a threat to Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad, may be targeted towards Amazon Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet.

Meanwhile, Google is expected to launch a new version of Google TV with Sony, while developers are expecting Google branded speakers, which could play with Google Music. Google may also show "Google Glasses" prototype at the event, whose tickets got sold out in about 20 minutes.

On the software front, Google is expected to launch a new version of Android OS called Android 4.1 or Jelly Bean. Google could include Google Drive into Chrome OS, may release the software development kit (SDK) to the developers, so that they can program their applications to Google Drive.
