 July 06, 2012 12:47 PM

American International Group Inc.'s (NYSE:AIG) International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC) unit has leased four new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to Dubai-based Emirates airline.

ILFC, which is engaged in remarketing of commercial jet aircraft to airlines around the world, already leases to Emirates a significant number of 777 aircraft.

Deliveries are scheduled to commence this month and will be completed by January 2013, ILFC said.

ILFC develops, negotiates, executes and closes complex transactions from traditional operating leases and fleet renewals to structured financings.

In May, ILFC announced it completed a total of 65 lease transactions and took delivery of ten new Boeing (BA) 737-800s during the first quarter of 2012.
New York-based American International provides insurance products and operates in three segments: Chartis, SunAmerica Financial Group, and Aircraft Leasing.
