(By Balachander) A number of stocks were upgraded, downgraded and price targets changed by equities research analysts on Tuesday.
Amgen Inc. (NASDAQ: AMGN): Deutsche Bank upgraded its rating on the stock to "buy" from "hold". Shares dipped 56 cents, or 0.69 percent, to trade at $87.19.
Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP): J.P. Morgan upgraded its rating on the stock to "overweight" from "neutral". Shares traded 0.96 percent higher at $42.62.
Monster Beverage Corp. (NASDAQ: MNST): Goldman downgraded the stock to "buy" from "conviction buy". Citigroup lowered its price target to $50 from $60. Shares tumbled 9.08 percent to trade at $41.58.
NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP): RW Baird downgraded the stock to "neutral" from "outperform" and lowered its price target to $30 from $40. Shares dropped 3.18 percent to trade at $28.95.
Peabody Energy Corp. (NYSE: BTU): Goldman downgraded the stock to "neutral" from "buy". BMO Capital raised its price target to $36.50 from $30. Shares fell 2.73 percent to trade at $28.18.
Western Digital Corp. (NASDAQ: WDC): CLSA downgraded the stock to "underperform" from "outperform". FBN Securities lowered its price target to $40 from $45. The stock traded 3.22 percent lower at $34.15.
Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO): Susquehanna upgraded the stock to "positive" from "neutral" and raised its price target to $20 from $17. Shares jumped 5.64 percent to trade at $16.66.
