(By Balaseshan) CommVault Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: CVLT), a provider of data and information management software applications and related services, said it has promoted Brian Carolan to Vice President, Finance – Chief Financial Officer.
The company said Carolan has been promoted from his current position of Vice President, Finance – Chief Accounting Officer. He will report directly to Robert Hammer, the company's President and Chief Executive Officer.
Carolan will have worldwide responsibility for all financial matters including reporting and controls. He will also have public facing responsibilities with investors, financial analysts and customers and will continue his role in strategic financial planning.
Carolan has served as CommVault's Chief Accounting Officer since July 2006. He also held the position of Controller from February 2001. Prior to joining CommVault, Brian was with Ernst & Young LLP where he started his career in 1993.
Louis Miceli, CommVault's Senior Vice President – Chief Financial Officer, will step into the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Finance.
In his new role, Miceli will continue to provide consultation and oversight to the company's finance department and will also be responsible for special projects, such as the planning, design and construction of our new headquarters facility.
CVLT closed Friday's regular session at $53.47. The stock has been trading between $36.88 and $59.59 for the past 52 weeks.
