(By Balaseshan) Dividend announcement by companies on Monday include: Pfizer, Rent-A-Center, Ashford Hospitality Trust, Nam Tai Electronics, MVC Capital, and KCAP Financial.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) has increased quarterly dividend by 9% to $0.24 per share, payable March 5 to shareholders of record on Feb. 1, 2013. The stock, which has been in $20.75 to $26.09 range for past year, is currently trading up 0.52% at $25.31.

Rent-A-Center Inc. (NASDAQ: RCII) has raised quarterly dividend by 31% to $0.21 per share, payable on Jan. 24 to stockholders of record on Jan. 3, 2013. The stock, which has been in $31.22 to $39.50 range for past year, is currently trading up 1.28% at $35.61.

Ashford Hospitality Trust Inc. (NYSE: AHT) has declared quarterly dividend of $0.11 per share, payable on Jan. 15, 2013 to shareholders of record on Dec. 31, 2012. The stock, which has been in $7.33 to $10 range for past year, is currently trading down 1.41% at $9.80.

Nam Tai Electronics Inc. (NYSE: NTE) has declared quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share, payable on or before Jan. 31, 2013 to stockholders of record on Dec. 31, 2012. The stock, which has been in $4.75 to $16.37 range for past year, is currently trading down 7.38% at $13.42.

MVC Capital Inc. (NYSE: MVC) has declared first-quarter dividend of $0.135 per share, payable on Jan. 7, 2013 to shareholders of record on Dec. 31, 2012. The stock, which has been in $11.53 to $13.39 range for past year, is currently trading up 0.51% at $11.82.

KCAP Financial Inc. (NASDAQ: KCAP) has lifted quarterly dividend to $0.28 from $0.24 per share, payable on Jan. 28, 2013 to shareholders of record on Dec. 28, 2012. The stock, which has been in $5.51 to $9.70 range for past year, is currently trading up 9.69% at $9.28.
