Samsung Electronics Buys Massachusetts-Based Medical Imaging Co. NeuroLogica

(By Balachander) Samsung Electronics America Inc. said it has acquired NeuroLogica, a Danvers, Massachusetts-based medical imaging company.

Financial terms of the  transaction were not disclosed.

Samsung's acquisition of NeuroLogica is expected to expand its medical imaging business.

Established in 2004, NeuroLogica is engaged in the development of medical imaging products, including portable CT scanners such as BodyTom and CereTom.

NeuroLogica's BodyTom CT and CereTom CT are FDA registered and are CE marked (European Conformity) for distribution in the European Union and European Economic Area.

Ridgefield Park, New Jersey-based Samsung Electronics America is a subsidiary of South Korea-based Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.
