Dividend Roundup: ETR, GPN, LM, MAT, RGS, SCHN

(By Balachander) Dividend announcement by companies on Friday include: Entergy, Global Payments, Legg Mason, Mattel, Regis and Schnitzer Steel.

Entergy Corp. (NYSE: ETR) declared a quarterly dividend of 83 cents per common share. The payment date is March 1, 2013, to stockholders of record on Feb. 14, 2013. Shares added 0.40 percent to trade at $64.86.

Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN) announced second quarter dividend of $0.02 per common share payable February 28, 2013 to shareholders of record as of February 15, 2013. Shares inched up 0.16 percent to trade at $49.34.

Legg Mason Inc. (NYSE: LM) declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $0.11 per share payable April 15, 2013 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 14, 2013. Shares shed 2.78 percent to trade at $26.88.

Mattel Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT) declared a first quarter cash dividend of $0.36 per share, payable on March 8 to stockholders of record on Feb. 22. Shares rose 1.44 percent to trade at $38.17.

Regis Corp. (NYSE: RGS): declared a quarterly dividend of six cents a share, payable February 26, 2013, to shareholders of record as of February 12, 2013. Shares added 2.31 percent to trade at $18.16.

Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: SCHN) declared a cash dividend of $0.1875 per common share, payable on March 7, 2013, to shareholders of record on February 21, 2013. Shares added 1.89 percent to trade at $29.63.
