(By Balaseshan) Riverbed Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: RVBD) said it has appointed Ernie Maddock to the position of chief financial officer, effective April 29.
Maddock replaces chief operating officer and chief financial officer Randy Gottfried, who will be retiring from Riverbed effective May 3. Since joining the company in February 2004, Randy Gottfried has served as Riverbed's chief financial officer.
Maddock will report to Riverbed's chairman and chief executive officer Jerry Kennelly and will manage all of the financial, operational and IT areas at the company.
Maddock is currently chief financial officer at Lam Research Corp. (NASDAQ: LRCX). While at Lam Research, in addition to his CFO role, Maddock held senior roles as vice president of customer support and vice president of global operations.
On Tuesday, Lam Research said Doug Bettinger will serve as executive vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Maddock, effective March 11. Lam announced Maddock's planned departure in January.
RVBD closed Wednesday's regular session up 0.32% at $15.75.
