(By Balaseshan) Dividend announcement by companies on Friday include: Verizon, Zimmer Holdings, International Flavors & Fragrances, Eastgroup Properties, and Tri-Continental.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) has declared quarterly dividend of 51.5 cents per share, payable on May 1 to shareholders of record on April 10. The stock, which has been in $36.80 to $48.77 range for past year, is currently trading up 0.86% at $47.89.

Zimmer Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ZMH) has raised quarterly dividend by 11% to $0.20 per share, payable on April 26 to shareholders of record on March 29. The stock, which has been in $57.46 to $76.75 range for past year, is currently trading up 0.63% at $75.36.

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (NYSE: IFF) has declared quarterly dividend of $0.34 per share, payable on April 4 to shareholders of record on March 21. The stock, which has been in $53.03 to $74.44 range for past year, is currently trading up 0.46% at $74.01.

Eastgroup Properties Inc. (NYSE: EGP) has declared quarterly dividend of $0.53 per share, payable on March 28 to shareholders of record on March 20. The stock, which has been in $46.75 to $58.15 range for past year, is currently trading up 0.07% at $56.93.

Tri-Continental Corp. (NYSE: TY) has declared quarterly dividend of $0.19 per share, payable on March 26 to shareholders of record on March 18. The stock, which has been in $14.51 to $17.54 range for past year, is currently trading up 0.34% at $17.50.
