Dividend Roundup: AHT, IDCC, LHO, LII, PEB, SWY, TYC

(By Balachander) Dividend announcement by companies on Friday include: Ashford Hospitality Trust, InterDigital, LaSalle Hotel Properties, Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, Safeway and Tyco International.

Ashford Hospitality Trust Inc. (NYSE: AHT), a real estate investment trust (REIT), declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.12 per share for its common stock, payable on April 15, 2013, to shareholders of record as of March 29, 2013. Shares traded 1.30% higher at $12.48.

InterDigital Inc. (NASDAQ: IDCC), which provides technology services for use in digital cellular and wireless products, declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 per share, payable on April 24, 2013 to shareholders of record at the close of business on April 10, 2013. Shares dropped 1.33% to trade at $46.70.

LaSalle Hotel Properties (NYSE: LHO), a REIT, announced a quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share of beneficial interest, payable on April 15, 2013 to common shareholders of record on March 28, 2013. Shares rose 0.47% to trade at $26.50.

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB), which operates as a REIT, raised its common dividend by 33%. PEB declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.16 per common share of beneficial interest, to be paid on April 15, 2013 to shareholders of record as of April 1, 2013. Shares traded 0.40% higher at $24.89.

Safeway Inc. (NYSE: SWY), a food and drug retailer, declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.175 per share, payable on April 11, 2013 to stockholders of record at the close of business on March 25, 2013. Shares advanced 2.17% to trade at $24.91.

Tyco International Ltd. (NYSE: TYC), a provider of electronic security systems, declared a quarterly dividend of $0.16 per share, payable on May 22, 2013 to shareholders of record at the close of business on April 26, 2013. Shares shed 0.88% to trade at $31.60.
