I have used scottrade for over 5 years and found the execution and service very good. This is good for people who trade sometimes and who want to keep up to date on their account

Scottrade is quick and cheap. However, there's not a lot of research tools. There's also not a lot in the way of options, etc. Their reps are great in customer service but aren't really experienced traders....of course that's the story with many firms.
