Consumer Confidence on Upward Trajectory in UAE, Rising for the Second Time This Year, Latest Bayt.Com and YouGov Survey Reveals

Oct. 5--Residents across the UAE are feeling a marked improvement in economic conditions, as consumer confidence rises for the second time this year, according to the latest Consumer Confidence Index (CCI).
The Consumer Confidence Index, a quarterly survey conducted by the Middle East's number one job site -- Bayt.com in conjunction with research specialists YouGov, found that the UAE moved up the index by 9.3 points, continuing the country's course of improved consumer confidence from the last quarter.
Despite being one of the only countries in the Middle East to record a consistent improvement in consumer confidence over the past year, Lebanon in this wave was the only country to deteriorate, moving down the index by 0.7 points.

Aug. 21--Al Dewey of the City of Fort Morgan works to clean up the trim around one of the One Hundred Eleven Trees memorial plaques that were being reinstalled in the sidewalk along the 300 block of Main Street on Friday morning.

Nearly 60 new trees should soon be planted along Main Street in Fort Morgan, and recognition of the city's downtown improvement project is also likely to start growing.

RRTA, Museum Project Starts Soon

Aug. 20--It took the Red Rose Transit Authority board just 20 minutes to spend nearly $21 million Wednesday evening.
After two years of planning, the board voted to award more than $15 million in contracts for the construction of the second phase of its Queen Street Station.
The project includes a 10,000-square-foot expansion of the Lancaster Museum of Art along the 200 block of North Queen Street, the expansion of the existing bus station to link it with East Chestnut Street, and construction of a 395-space parking garage.

Jul. 14--Fifty companies, including 18 that are based in Indianapolis, have earned a place in Indiana's second annual field of companies to watch.
The privately held businesses range from employee benefits specialist Nyhart Inc. to aptly named My Health Care Manager, LLC to SynCare, LLC, which concentrates on disease and case management.
The list of winners was compiled -- out of more than 500 nominations -- by Indiana Economic Development Corp., its small business development center network, Purdue University and the Edward Lowe Foundation.
