Trading The Next Leg Down

Now that we have broken down out of the consolidation zone in each of the major indexes, it is highly likely that we have a significant downward move ahead. Given recent volatility, we could see a headfake rally virtually anywhere. However, we have broken through lows that were tested on multiple occasions, and are in a clear downtrend, both long- and near-term. We have lower to go in the immediate future. In this volatile market, I am having more success trading options than equities. This is a personal style thing, and relates to my relatively tight stops on equity trades. I tend to accumulate a much larger number of small options positions gradually over time. Because they are small, I do not get anxious when they go they wander in the wrong direction, whereas I get very anxious when my equity trades do not work immediately. BRIEF: High-Pressure Gas Line on West Willow is Cut

Aug. 26--Anyone driving down West Willow with their windows down around 4 p.m. Monday was able to smell the mishap that occurred in the area.
A gas leak in a construction area, just off the 1700 block of West Willow, was cause for some concern Monday afternoon.
"It's my understanding that they were doing construction and cut a high-pressure gas line," said Enid Fire Department Capt. Denton Morgan.

EFD , the company that delivers innovative enterprise payments and data & decisioning solutions, today reported that operating income in the first quarter of 2007 increased 10% to $17 million, or 12.4% of net revenues, as compared to $15 million, or 11% of net revenues, reported in the first quarter of 2006. First quarter net income was $11 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, compared to net income of $11 million, or $0.23 per diluted share, reported for the same quarter in 2006.
