AmerenUE Banking on Rebirth of Taum Sauk Reservoir

Jun. 30--LESTERVILLE, Mo. -- Atop Proffit Mountain is a symphony of tractor-trailers and giant earth-moving machines, as work crews erect 100-foot-tall concrete walls that will form the sides of a mammoth pool used to feed AmerenUE's Taum Sauk hydroelectric plant.
The 440-megawatt plant, about two hours southwest of St. Louis, has been out of service since Dec. 14, 2005, when a 700-foot section of the old reservoir wall collapsed, releasing more than a billion gallons of water that scoured Johnson Shut-Ins State Park.
The rebuilding project will cost $480 million and is expected to be complete by May, allowing AmerenUE to restart the Taum Sauk plant.

Gross Nominal Average Earning Per Total Economy

According to INS, in December 2008, the gross nominal average earning per total economy was lei 2023 and the net one was lei 1489, increasing as against the previous month by 9.7% and 9.4% respectively.
In December 2008, the ratio between the net nominal average earning index and the consumer price index was 109.1% incomparison with the previous month, 110.6% as compared to the same month of 2007 and 139.4% in comparison with October 1990.

According to INS, in December 2008, the index of net use of accommodation bed places was 22.9% per total establishments of tourist reception with functions of tourist accommodation, decreasing by 3.5 percentage points as against December 2007.
The highest value of this index was registered by inns (41.8%), hotels for youth(25.5%) and hotels (24.9%).
