We believe a difficult U.S. economy and higher marketing expenses will hamper Align Tech, Inc.?s (ALGN) topline growth and margins. Strong international growth and foreign exchange gains will help offset this. In the near-term, we think earnings quality could become an issue as the management finds it difficult to meet growth targets. Meaningful earnings growth will be pushed out to fiscal 2009 and 2010. We are reiterating the current Hold recommendation. We have adjusted our models to reflect the current economic environment. We expect fiscal 2008 sales growth of 10%, in-line with the management?s guidance of $309 million - $314 million. Heavier marketing spending may be necessary to drive GP channel penetration required to achieve management s growth targets. Nov. 23--Fresh weakness in the dollar gave a further boost to commodity prices which, in turn, brought in the buyers for mining shares.
The dearer price of gold also boosted Anglo American, up 67p at 2597p, Rio Tinto 109p better at 3256p and Mexican miner Fresnillo 37p better at 910 1/2p.
Elsewhere in the sector, the rising price of copper lent itself to Kazakhmys, up 43p at 1307 1/4p, and BHP Billiton 49 1/2p to 1857p.

Sep. 17--Stand by for take-off at British Airways was the advice Goldman Sachs gave to its clients today as it added the shares to its influential Conviction Buy list.
They have come up from a low of 188p since July and, according to the American broking house, there is scope for a further 45 percent improvement in the price if the revenue recovery starts on a restructured cost basis.
Goldman has raised its six-month price target from 165p to 315p.

Sep. 16--Shareholders of explorer Tullow Oil were treated to a double boost today, sending the shares soaring 77p to 1164p, and making them one of the Footsie 100's best performers.
That spilled over into trading today with Italy's ENI tipped to offer up to 2000p a share -- which would value Tullow at more than £15 billion.
Panmure Gordon estimates the Venus B well, operated by Texas-based Anadarko Petroleum, could contain up to 250 million barrels of oil.

Sep. 16--It proved to be a great day at the office for former hot dog salesman Mark Dixon.
The founder and chief executive of Regus (0.6p off at 106 1/2p) trousered a cool £36.4m after selling 35m shares, or 10pc, of his shareholding in the serviced office provider at 104p a share.
Dixon's sale comes after a strong run in the share price -- it has risen 78pc from its July low to a two-year high -- and the disposal has apparently been done in order to increase liquidity in the stock.

Nippon Oil Officials to Visit Iraq to Finalize Oil Development Deal

Sep. 11--CAIRO -- Officials of Japan's Nippon Oil Corp. will visit Iraq within several days to make final adjustments on a proposed deal to develop an oil field in a southern Iraqi city, the Iraqi oil minister has said.
The move follows a basic agreement a Japanese consortium led by Nippon Oil struck with the Iraqi government in August to obtain the right to develop an oil field in Nasiriyah.
Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani said the Iraqi government and the Nippon Oil officials will discuss several issues that need to be adjusted before a final deal is reached.

Japan Close to Winning Right to Develop Iraqi Oil Field

Aug. 25--CAIRO -- A group of Japanese firms led by Nippon Oil Corp. has agreed in principle with the Iraqi government to obtain the right to develop an oil field in Iraq in a deal that would be the biggest of its kind for Japanese companies, sources close to the negotiations said Monday.
The agreement suggests that the Japanese group has outstripped Eni S.p.A, an Italian energy firm that is also in talks with the Iraqi government for development rights in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah.
Meeting the same day in Istanbul, officials from Nippon Oil, Japan's largest oil wholesaler, and the Iraqi delegation, led by Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani, signed a memorandum of understanding while agreeing to meet again soon in Baghdad, Iraqi Deputy Oil Minister for Exploration Abdul Kareem al-Leavy said.

Jul. 9--TOKYO -- The Japanese government will step up its effort to benefit from Iraq's attempt to attract foreign investment to its oil sector as the energy ministers of the two countries are to meet Thursday evening in Tokyo.
However, speculation is growing that Tokyo has moved to support a bid by some Japanese companies to develop one of the oil fields in Iraq.
The ministerial meeting comes as a group of Japanese firms led by Nippon Oil Corp., the nation's largest oil wholesaler, negotiates with the Iraqi government to obtain the right to drill an oil field in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah.

PWP Says Negotiations on for Suitable Partner in Companhia DA Energia Oceanica

Scottish renewable energy company Pelamis Wave Power has said that negotiations are continuing in order to find a suitable buyer for Babcock and Brown's 77% stake in Companhia da Energia Oceanica, the joint venture company which owns and operates the Agucadoura wave power project offshore Portugal.
Pelamis owns a 23% stake in the joint venture.
In 2008, Pelamis Wave Power (PWP) successfully commissioned the Agucadoura wave farm and transmitted electricity to shore and into the Portuguese grid in a fully controlled manner both locally and remotely, and using multiple machines.

ENI Delays Some Drilling, Development Work at Nikaitchuq Field

Mar. 6--ENI Oil and Gas Inc. has delayed drilling and development on its Nikaitchuq offshore project on the North Slope, although construction of offshore pipelines and insulation of pipe in Fairbanks will continue, contractors said.
An ENI spokeswoman in Italy said the company still plans to complete the project with a 2010 startup.
ENI officials in Anchorage said they could not comment on the project delay.
