Retailers will start to release second-quarter results this week, accounting for nearly 10% of the 246 scheduled reports. Dow component Wal-Mart (WMT) will be joined by 15 other members of the S&P 500, including J.C. Penney (JCP), Kohl's (KSS) and Macy's (M). The Fed will hold a 2-day meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday. No change in interest rates will be made, though the statement should acknowledge that the economy is nearing stabilization. I have a long (and sordid) past with solar power stocks... since I love high growth sectors I jumped into this theme ahead of the pack in latter 2006. In the interim I've missed a lot of opportunities to the upside and lost a lot of money sticking to stocks that I should not of. This is one sector buying "value" stocks has been incorrect and chasing the top valuation (First Solar) has been the only way to survive any buy and hold strategy. In solar, you can lose money holding stocks for 320 days a year but in 9 day periods every so often you can double your money. While the Congress is still battling to get the final version of the massive 2009 economic stimulus plan (could cost tax payers as much as $800 billion when the deal is finalized) done before the weekend, I think it’s time to get an idea on what we can expect from the proposed plan. Nov. 23--Richardson and the Texas Department of Transportation are poised to begin a road project that was once opposed by nearby residents but is now seen as a potential plus for the area.
The plan to extend Galatyn Parkway over Central Expressway's southbound service road will largely benefit a single company: Fossil Inc., which owns adjacent property.
While not overburdened yet, traffic is expected to worsen as the Central corridor continues to develop.
