Stocks Continue The Selloff With Volume Finally Picking Up On The Selling

Today can be called nothing other than nasty as most of the indexes made round trips back to either six-year or eleven-year lows, following a nasty selloff that came on very heavy volume. Volume picked up on every exchange as finally some signs of panic selling hit the market. This selling took the markets off around 5% to 6% and a lot of stocks were just walloped. Q2 earnings are almost over. The best performing sectors in terms of earnings growth y-o-y are energy and technology. Just now Hungary is my favourite stock market in Central Europe. Index HTX was pushed down by government activities and also by worldwide negative sentiment. It has the best PE valuation in region. Hutchison to sell Partner Communications stake

WASHINGTON - Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd. said it has reached an agreement to sell its 51.3 percent stake in Israeli wireless carrier Partner Communications Co. Ltd. to Scailex Corp. Ltd. for $1.38 billion in cash and debt.
Ltd., a unit of Hong Kong-based Hutchinson.
Partner Communications shares rose 58 cents, or 3.4 percent, to close at $17.79 Wednesday.

Partner Communications Company Ltd.
