U.S. Factory Orders To Dominate USD Trading

The USD is likely to move on the U.S. Factory Orders publication today at 15:00 GMT. The reason why this release is so important is due to Monday's releases that showed the U.S. economy is on a rapid road to recovery. Therefore, a similar result today could lead to very high volatility in the forex market, and a possible mass sell-off of the Dollar. In order to make some decent profits today, you should open large positions in the EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/JPY pairs now.[More...]

EUR/USD Rallies On Record Pending Home Sales

EUR/USD rallied on the Forex market today after a series of macroeconomic reports were released in the United States. Both housing and manufacturing sectors showed some better-than-expected results and helped the euro to grow up against the U.S. dollar. Stock markets reacted with a more than 1% growth. EUR/USD is currently trading near 1.4836 after reaching as low as 1.4702 earlier today.[More...]

EUR/USD Met Its Resistance Level

The euro went up against the U.S. dollar today on the Forex market but the latest trading results show that the EUR/USD pair has met its resistance point near 1.4800. The fundamental factors that affect the U.S. dollar look positive, as the macroeconomical statistics from United States is rather good today, while the ECB decision to leave the interest rate unchanged at 1% is quite neutral. EUR/USD is now trading near 1.4733.[More...]

Shaky Start For September As Investors Sell The News

Investors know that markets cannot rise forever, and if anyone had forgotten, Tuesday was a healthy reminder. Despite macroeconomic data that was largely positive, the market rose in the morning and then sold off sharply and did not recover. The major economic data today signaled to the market that perhaps the impressive rally from the March lows had been right on track.

Today could have been profit taking or the beginning of something more ominous, as the good news was met with fresh fear over financials. Specifically, another round of rumors swirled around Wells Fargo (WFC) needing a secondary offering to recapitalize and pay off TARP.[More...]

Monday Morning Musings

Good monday morning. Nice start to the week, and the month, even though its still very early. Stocks surged in the last hour of trading on Friday, and that buying pressure has continued from the open this morning. There was a batch of better than expected economic news that helped things this morning. The ISM Manufacturing Index came in at 42.8, and has now improved for the last 3 consecutive months. Construction spending for April also surprised, coming in at +0.8% vs. expectations of a -1.5% decline. And personal incomes increased +0.5% in April, better than the -0.2% expected decrease. The positive tone in the market has pushed the S&P 500 to its highest level since January 6th.[More...]
