Lithia Motors, Inc. (the "Company") (NYSE:LAD), a leading operator of automotive franchises and retailer of new and used vehicles and services, today announced that the public offering of 4,000,000 shares of its Class A common stock has priced at $10.00 per share for gross proceeds of $40.0 million.
The Company also has granted to the underwriters for the public offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 600,000 shares to cover over-allotments, if any.
J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. acted as the sole bookrunner for the offering and Stephens Inc. acted as a co-manager.

(NYSE: LAD) announced today that net income from continuing operations in the second quarter of 2009 was $4.1 million or nineteen cents per diluted share, compared to net loss from continuing operations of $201.2 million, or $10.02 per diluted share in the second quarter of 2008. Lithia Motors, Inc. (NYSE: LAD) announced today that net income from continuing operations in the first quarter of 2009 was $0.2 million or one cent per diluted share, the same as prior year. Consolidated net income for the first quarter of 2009 was six cents per share after inclusion of one cent per share income from continuing operations and five cents per share income from discontinued operations and disposal activities.
