Bloomberg had this article out about how the U.S. housing market lost $3.3 trillion in 2008 AND that 1 in 6 people with mortgages are underwater, or 17%. It's not getting any better. We have pending home sales coming out today at 10:00AM - consensus 82.3 (range: 78.2 to 84, previous actual: 82.3). I'll be really surprised if pending sales remained "unchanged". Motor vehicle sales are also coming out (total consensus: 7.7M (range:7.3M to 8.1M, previous actual: 7.7M). This is another consensus estimate where it is also "unchanged". Whatever. Elagolix Successful in Six Month Lilac Petal Study; Safety and Efficacy Confirmed in Patients With Endometriosis

Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. today announced new six month safety and efficacy results from its fourth Phase II clinical trial using its proprietary, orally-active non-peptide Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone receptor antagonist, elagolix, in patients with endometriosis. Consistent with previously reported six month and three month results, a favorable safety profile and clinically meaningful efficacy have again been confirmed through month six of the Lilac Petal Study. This newly available data also provides clinical confirmation of Neurocrine's extensive pharmacologic modeling related to the elagolix dose-response continuum. The outcome of primary interest at month six was the impact of the elagolix 250 mg dose on bone mineral density as measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry scanning.[More...]
