As we exit the worst January ever, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the best performers of the past month. Before we do, courtesy of Dshort.com this is a chart that has been passed around a lot in the investing community so I thought I'd share it. Two ways to read this - of the 4 great bear markets the past 100 years, 3 "ended" roughly where we are now... about a 50% loss in value from peak. That's the bullish view i.e. "can't get worse than this" and if we fall to S&P 750 (November lows) but never break through they will be correct. The bearish view is - the 4th bear market ended in a 90% drop, and if you plot the velocity of the decline, what happened to us in Sep - Nov caused us to be in lockstep with the worst of the 4. All over the place today and its hard to figure just exactly what is going on. The energy complex has turned higher including natural gas believe it or not. Then there is the stock market volitility which had em up then down then up then down and now up again. 10 year rates are falling. And then we seem to have selling in some MLPS that held up okay yesterday. Inergy Announces Successful Open Seasons for Northeast Pipeline Projects

Inergy, L.P. (NASDAQ: NRGY) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Inergy Midstream, LLC ("Inergy"), has received indications of interest exceeding 400% of the capacity required to construct the 43-mile Marc I Hub Line and indications of interest exceeding 600% of the capacity required to construct the North-South Project.
Together these projects when completed will allow shippers to wheel/transport gas bi-directionally through up to a 36-inch pipe on a firm basis approximately 75 miles between the Millennium Pipeline in Tioga County, N.Y., and Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation's ("Transco") Leidy Line located in Columbia County, Pa., and all points in between.
"The response to the open season exceeds our expectations, and we could not be more excited about validating the strong commercial interest in these projects," said John Sherman, President and CEO of Inergy.

Inergy, L.P. (NASDAQ: NRGY) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Inergy Midstream, LLC ("Inergy"), is conducting two non-binding Open Seasons.
The first Open Season is for the "MARC I Hub Line Project," and the second is for the "North-South Project."
Together, these projects would allow shippers to wheel gas bi-directionally on a firm basis to and from the Millennium Pipeline in Tioga County, New York, approximately 75 miles to and from Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation's ("Transco") Leidy Line near its compressor station 517, and to and from all points in between.

The Board of Directors of Inergy Holdings GP, LLC, general partner of Inergy Holdings, L.P. (Nasdaq:NRGP), today announced an increase in its quarterly cash distribution to $0.78 per limited partner unit ($3.12 annually) for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. This represents an approximate 4% increase over the previously declared quarterly distribution of $0.75 per limited partner unit and an approximate 28% increase over the distribution for the same quarter of the prior year.
