APRISO is approved for use up to six months. The majority of treatment-emergent adverse events were mild or moderate in intensity, and were similar to what was seen during the 6-month phase 3 trials. (NASDAQ:SLXP) today announced the presentation of new data from its Phase III pivotal clinical trial evaluating the efficacy, safety and tolerability of rifaximin - a non-absorbed (&lt;0.4%), gut selective antibiotic - in adult patients with hepatic encephalopathy (HE).
