Seaspan Accepts Delivery of Forty-Second Containership

Seaspan Corporation (NYSE: SSW) announced today that it accepted delivery of a 5100 TEU containership named the MOL Emissary from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. on November 20, 2009.
The MOL Emissary is on charter to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. ("MOL") of Japan under a twelve-year, fixed-rate time charter.
Gerry Wang, Chief Executive Officer of Seaspan, said, "The MOL Emissary is the third of four Seaspan vessels to be on a twelve-year charter to MOL, one of the leading Asian liner companies.

HONG KONG, CHINA -- -- 05/15/09 -- Seaspan Corporation announced today that it accepted delivery of the CSAV Lumaco from Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. on May 11, 2009. The 4250 TEU containership is Seaspan's fourth newbuilding in 2009 and expands the Company's fleet to 39 vessels. The CSAV Lumaco is chartered to Compania Sud Americana de Vapores under a six-year, fixed-rate time charter that requires CSAV to pay all fuel, cargo-operating and related costs.[More...]

Seaspan Corporation (NYSE: SSW) announced today that it accepted delivery of the MOL Emerald, a 5100 TEU newbuilding.
The MOL Emerald was delivered to Seaspan on April 30, 2009.
The MOL Emerald is the first of four vessels to be chartered to MOL. Under the terms of the time charters, MOL is responsible for fuel costs and all cargo operating and related expenses.
