OK, I will declare that call earlier today to be pretty pretty good as the DJIA did a 600 point turnaround. Hard to believe that the DJIA could be +300 and the NDX/QQQQ could close red - but it is what it is. Bill Griffith on CNBC calling a bottom since the VIX has spiked and of course the bottom in financials since they went up today. Well not sure on any of the above but the DJIA did come off the lows and manage to only be down by 128, NAZ -48 and SPX -15 after wicked early losses.[More...]

Good morning. We're set for a relatively slow start this morning following mixed overseas markets and a snowstorm in the Northeast. Premarket futures have been volatile throughout the morning and currently point toward a mixed open. There's a lot of noise out there this morning in the credit markets concerning SIVs, CDOs, and E Trade Financial Corp (ETFC). Stanley Reports Financial Results for Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2009

Fourth-quarter and fiscal year 2009 revenues were at the high end of company guidance, and diluted EPS exceeded the high end of company guidance by $0.01 for both periods.
Stanley's revenue growth for the fourth quarter resulted primarily from expansion of the U.S. Army's global RESET efforts; support for the U.S. Central Command's biometrics programs in Iraq and Afghanistan; provision of IT services for various Department of Defense customers; and support services to the U.S. Army's Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).
