Good morning. Following yesterday's reversal from 1490 level in the S&P 500, premarket futures are in positive territory. The general sense is if you can't break the market down on yesterday's bad news, then you might as well put some money to work ahead of another rate cut. Stockholders Sue Triad Guaranty, Former Exec

Jan. 30--A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Triad Guaranty Inc. and its current and former top executive by stockholders claiming the officials violated federal securities laws.
The lawsuit was filed yesterday on behalf of James Phillips in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of N.C. Four law firms, including one in Raleigh, are a party to the lawsuit, with other law firms expected to join.
Stockholders affected are those who bought the common stock of Triad from Oct. 26, 2006, when the share price was $53.27, through Nov. 10, 2008, when the share price was 88 cents.

Triad Jobless Rate Hits 8 Percent, a High Since Regional Record-Keeping Began in 1990

Jan. 6--The Triad's job market grew bleaker in November, with the unemployment rate hitting 8 percent, a rise of nearly 1 percentage point, the N.C. Employment Security Commission reported today.
The rate for the combined statistical area was 7.1 percent in October.
But according to the commission, it is the largest one-month increase in the Triad's jobless rate in almost 12 years.

Triad Guaranty Inc. Reports Second Quarter Results

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Triad Guaranty Inc. today reported a net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 of $359.4 million compared to a net loss of $55.2 million for the first quarter of 2009 and a net loss of $198.8 million for the second quarter of 2008.
The 2009 second quarter diluted loss per share was $23.91 compared to a diluted loss per share of $3.68 for the 2009 first quarter and $13.36 for the second quarter of 2008.
Ken Jones, President and CEO, said, "During the second quarter of 2009, we experienced a further decline in the cure rates on loans in default as well as higher severity on settled losses.

Triad Guaranty Inc. announced that the Illinois Director of Insurance issued a Corrective Order, which we received today, impacting the Company's insurance subsidiaries, Triad Guaranty Insurance Corporation and Triad Guaranty Assurance Corporation . Under the Order, effective June 1, 2009, or a later date established by the Illinois Director, all valid claims under Triad's mortgage guaranty insurance policies will be paid 60% in cash and 40% by the creation of a deferred payment obligation . The DPO will be represented by a separate entry in Triad's financial statements and will accrue a carrying charge based on the investment yield earned by Triad's investment portfolio.
