Some people think TIMalerts is buy and sell recommendations where I’m gonna say buy this, short this—screw that! Newsletters that do that are a total joke. I simply tell you what I’m thinking, stocks I’m watching and getting you prepared/organized as to which stocks have charts and variables that are primed for PennyStocking. It’s all about identifying the right stocks and being prepared to trade em if and when they exhibit the proper price action. Some Worst Companies Around

Just like in the normal stock market, sectors rotate being hot in pump and dump land, but since the sector/company/fundamentals are nearly totally irrelevant, the hotness varies cross different prices, subpenny stocks, under $5, under $10….right now, it’s mostly under $1 stocks making big moves, which can be good for many of you, but is not my game since I like shorting and shorting these stocks is risky biz….other than a potential short on USS, probly no trades again today for me, but here’s my watchlist:VCSY has a great vertical chart that I love shorting, but only if it were priced 100x what it is here at 6 cents…2 cent stocks can easily become 20-30, even 50 cent stocks, but not so with $2 stocks easily going to $50MYRA is a classic long term downtrending stock that’s gone Supernova—10 cents/share to 50 cents/share…really not my thing unless the price was multiplied by 10, but a decent short for those with a[More...]

Nov. 3--PITTSBURG -- In a welcome contrast to local factory closures, a venture of manufacturing companies from the United States and South Korea has opened a $135 million East Bay plant here that will make big pipes for the energy industry.
United Spiral Pipe's new state-of-the-art factory in Pittsburg will employ about 150 people, with room to expand.
The plant produces large-diameter pipes used for transmission of natural gas and oil.

Nov. 2--PITTSBURG -- In a welcome contrast to local factory closures, a venture of manufacturing companies from the United States and South Korea has opened a $135 million East Bay plant here that will make big pipes for the energy industry.
United Spiral Pipe's new state-of-the-art factory in Pittsburg will employ about 150 people, with room to expand.
The 340,000-square-foot welded pipe factory is a joint venture of American steel titan U.S. Steel Corp., South Korean steel maker POSCO and South Korean tube products maker SeAH Steel Corp.

Worst Over for Pinoy Retailers

Aug. 14--PHILIPPINE retailers on Thursday declared that the "worst is over" for them since they expect moderate growth this year and a possible recovery next year, citing strong overseas Filipino workers' (OFWs) remittances and growth in the business process outsourcing (BPO) and tourism sectors.
At the sidelines of the 18th National Retail Conference, Jorge Mendiola, chairman of Philippine Retailers Association, said that the retail industry is expected to grow at a high single digit growth this year.
In 2008, the whole industry grew between 2 percent and 3 percent, Mendiola added.

'Survivor' Scouts: Trip to Florida Includes TV-Inspired Camping

Jul. 5--PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- Time didn't exactly stand still when Boy Scouts from North and South started their summer by camping on Redfish Point, just across the bay from downtown Panama City.
From 21st century pop culture, there was a camping trip based on TV's "Survivor" shows.
The campers are from Troop 29 from North Mankato, Minn., and Troop 302, sponsored by Knights of Columbus in Panama City.

Bringing Retired Vessels to City 'More Dream Than Reality'

Feb. 25--PROVIDENCE -- The Navy is looking to donate two top-secret vessels, and Frank Lennon, who had operated the former Russian Sub Museum here, has taken notice.
The deal would be a two-for-one: Sea Shadow, which was the Navy's first experimental "stealth" ship, is berthed inside the Hughes Mining Barge, which is the only fully submersible dry dock ever built.
The Navy has been trying to give away the pair, now on the West Coast, since 2006.

Country Needs VFA for National Security

Feb. 26--As far as the Philippines' national security is concerned, the Visiting Forces Agreement with the United States is indispensable, according to an official.
In a fact sheet provided by Acting Foreign Affairs spokesman Ed Malay, he stressed that the RP-US military pact is crucial not only to building a strong Philippines, but also to maintaining a stable Asia-Pacific region.
"The VFA helps ensure that the Armed Forces of the Philippines is equipped with new military strategies and technologies, as well as best practices of the US military that will increase its capacity to respond to both traditional and non-traditional security challenges, such as terrorism, pandemics, natural disasters and transnational crimes," Malay said.

EDISON, NJ -- -- 08/25/08 -- U.S. Shipping Partners L.P. today announced the completion of its second Articulated Tug Barge unit on schedule with the delivery of the barge Petrochem Producer from Bay Shipbuilding at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The Galveston, the tug for the second unit, was delivered in July from Eastern Shipbuilding, Panama City, Florida. The Galveston / Petrochem Producer is currently enroute to the Gulf Coast and will enter service in early September on long term charter to a major oil company.
