Friday was a milestone in the evolution of the ongoing financial crisis. No, not the employment data, which was execrable (and prompted Goldman to raise their unemployment rate forecast to an eye-watering 8.5%.) In fact, Friday was notable because it was the first time in quite a while that Macro Man can recall being bored at the office. It seems as if markets have mentally shut down and are content to limp into the end of the year. Liquidity has certainly dried up amongst many of the products that Macro Man trades, and declining volumes in a number of exchange-traded assets also bear testament to a lack of engagement. Moreover, the ever-reliable blog traffic indicator has shown a reasonable decline in eyeballs from the panicky markets of a month ago. The sector overview looks more bearish here, with several indexes and sectors sitting on trendlines or other forms of support.An example is SPY. How to Share Evidence at ConAgra Still in Dispute

GARNER, N.C. _ Two weeks after a deadly blast rocked ConAgra's Slim Jim factory killing three and injuring dozens more, the two agencies investigating the explosion still haven't agreed on how to work together.
The U.S. Chemical Safety Board and the state Department of Labor are both conducting independent investigations into what went wrong and have not yet been able to agree on how to share the site and the physical evidence at the plant.
"In this case, as in other cases, both agencies have an interest in the same evidence, we would hope to get an agreement in place governing the handling of the site as soon as possible," said Daniel Horowitz, a spokesman for the CSB.

Raw material costs had a mixed effect on margins, as Pharmaceutical Systems segment material costs remained above prior year levels despite recent declines in relevant commodity prices, while those commodity price declines reduced both revenues and costs in the Tech Group segment.
