AT&T Announces 2.5 Percent Dividend Increase, Marking a Quarter Century of Dividend Increases
AT&T Inc. today announced that its board of directors has approved a 2.5 percent increase in the company's quarterly dividend, marking AT&T's 25th consecutive annual dividend increase, a record unmatched among major telecom companies. AT&T directors increased the dividend rate from $0.40 to $0.41 a share on a quarterly basis and from $1.60 to $1.64 a share on an annual basis.

AT&T Announces Preliminary Results of 2008 Annual Meeting
AT&T Inc. has announced that, at the 24th annual meeting of stockholders, 14 current board members were re-elected to the company's board of directors for one-year terms. The board members are:

AT&T stockholders also voted on the following proposals from stockholders at the meeting:
- A proposal recommending additional reporting of political contributions made by AT&T, which was defeated by a vote of 68.1 percent against to 31.9 percent in favor.
- A proposal asking AT&T to exclude return on pension plan assets in determining performance-based compensation, which was defeated by a vote of 54.2 percent against to 45.8 percent in favor.
- A proposal to amend the AT&T bylaws to require an independent lead director, which was defeated by a vote of 60.6 percent against to 39.4 percent in favor.
- A proposal to modify benefits under AT&T's supplemental executive retirement plan, or SERP, which was defeated by a vote of 64.2 percent against to 35.8 percent in favor.

AT&T Ramps Revenue Growth, Delivers Strong First-Quarter Results

AT&T Completes Acquisition of Edge Wireless to Enhance Wireless Coverage
AT&T Inc. today announced that the company has completed, through a subsidiary, the acquisition of Edge Wireless. Edge is a provider of wireless communications services in Oregon, northern California, Idaho and Wyoming. The addition of Edge's wireless network will allow AT&T to deliver broader wireless coverage to customers in the Northwest, including Edge's existing subscribers. Edge customers will also gain access to AT&T's portfolio of products and services, as well as to the nation's largest voice and data network, which covers more than 290 million people.

AT&T Affiliates Complete Wireless Asset Divestitures to MTPCS
AT&T Inc. has announced the completion of the divestitures of wireless assets from the former Dobson Communications Corporation to MTPCS, LLC. Under the terms of the Dec. 3, 2007, agreements, affiliates of MTPCS have acquired — from affiliates of AT&T — the former Dobson properties, including licenses, network assets and subscribers, in Texas RSA (Rural Service Area) 10 and Oklahoma RSA 5. The Oklahoma RSA 5 property includes AT&T's share of the former Dobson partnership that held the cellular license, network assets and subscribers in portions of that RSA. These transactions satisfy, in part, AT&T's divestiture requirements related to its recent acquisition of Dobson.

AT&T Establishes $500 Million in Network Services for the State of Florida
AT&T Inc. today announced a $500 million contract with the Florida Department of Management Services. This extensive project will provide services to more than 4,000 locations across the state. AT&T already provides the state with Internet access, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services and Centrex central-office based voice service to more than 5,000 locations. This new contract will establish Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-enabled voice, video and data transport services for government, education, rural health care and nonprofit operations across Florida. The MPLS solution will support advanced applications for state employees and citizens, as well as low-cost broadband transport services statewide to meet critical public needs. The AT&T solution will further allow the state to more efficiently prioritize voice, video and mission-critical data and significantly increase bandwidth, minimizing the need for future network upgrades.

AT&T Wins $1.6 Billion Global Deal with Shell
AT&T Inc. announced today that Royal Dutch Shell (Shell) has selected AT&T to be its global provider of advanced communications services. The five year agreement, estimated to be worth $1.6 billion, calls for AT&T to provide, manage and maintain Shell's worldwide communications infrastructure while also managing the company's global mobility needs. It is one of the largest commercial contracts ever signed by AT&T, and it's the largest agreement signed with a company that is headquartered in Europe. The agreement is one of three outsourcing contracts signed by Shell with key suppliers for networking and IT services. This agreement with Shell follows a series of other large and strategic wins AT&T has secured in the past year, including deals with Starbucks, General Motors, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and IBM. All of these wins underscore AT&T's position as the leading global telecommunications service provider within the industry. The agreements with GM and the Department of the Treasury are each worth up to $1 billion; the IBM agreement is worth up to $5 billion. Once the contract with Shell has been implemented, AT&T will provide managed network services to Shell and its subsidiary companies in more than 100 countries. AT&T will deliver wide area and local area networks, voice services (including Internet-based telephony), managed security solutions and mobility services. Shell will benefit from access to AT&T's advanced global Internet Protocol (IP) network to deliver cost effective, consistent, secure and highly reliable services.

AT&T Statement on The FCC's Announced Results of Auction 73
AT&T Inc. completed successful bids for prime B Block spectrum in the FCC auction. Combined with the Aloha Partners transaction, which closed earlier this year, AT&T has supplemented its holding of high-quality spectrum and continues to have a leading spectrum position in the industry. "AT&T's strong spectrum holdings position the company to further enhance the quality and reliability of existing wireless broadband and voice services, and to set the foundation for new-generation wireless broadband technologies and services." said Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO of AT&T's wireless unit. Upon final award of this spectrum, the company's 700 MHz spectrum will cover 100 percent of the top 200 markets. Combined with the spectrum previously purchased in the AWS auction, AT&T will have quality spectrum available for new services covering 95 percent of the U.S. population. AT&T Announces $20 Million Task Order to Deliver Networking Solution for U.S. Customs and Border Protection
AT&T Inc. has announced that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), an agency within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has awarded the company a task order worth up to $20 million to provide a voice networking solution for the agency. CBP is responsible for protecting the country's borders at and between the official ports of entry. AT&T will serve as the primary network voice services provider to CBP for the task order, which was awarded via the General Services Administration's (GSA) Networx Universal program. Networx Universal is a 10-year $20 billion contract vehicle that allows AT&T Government Solutions, a business unit within AT&T, and Networx contract holders to provide a full range of network and telecommunications services to federal government agencies. Under the terms of the order, AT&T will use its networking expertise to deliver a voice networking solution that will ensure reliable, secure communications for the agency's 41,000 employees based throughout the country. The AT&T network solution will be scalable to ensure flexibility for more advanced applications.

AT&T, Energy City Qatar, Qtel, and Navlink Sign Agreement to Develop Advanced Networking Services
AT&T Inc today announced that an AT&T subsidiary, in association with Qtel and NavLink, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Energy City Qatar (ECQ) to jointly develop and deliver advanced data communications services and solutions to the "first-of-its kind" landmark business centre in the Middle East.
ECQ is a major $2.6 billion development to create the Middle East's first integrated energy and business centre for the oil and gas industry. With today's announcement, ECQ is moving rapidly to provide its commercial tenants with the networking expertise, data and voice telecommunications, Internet Protocol (IP) and Internet, hosting and managed services needed for companies to do business both locally and globally. ECQ will build and provide the facilities and infrastructure required to equip a carrier class Internet data centre (IDC) and a network operations centre ("NOC") in the Energy City service centre in Qatar. The two centres will comply with AT&T's and Qtel's standards for these types of facilities.

AT&T Delivers $140 Million in Network Services to Help Kentucky Schools Leverage Technology and Improve Education
AT&T Inc. today announced the completion of the Kentucky Education Network (KEN), a $140 million service recently added to AT&T's Kentucky Information Highway contract with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Education Cabinet. KEN will bring high-bandwidth broadband services and Internet access to 174 school districts located in 120 counties. The solution will also allow students and teachers to access information from post-secondary institutions in the state. In addition to the local and long distance voice service currently provided by AT&T, this new solution will establish Virtual Private Network (VPN) services for state school operations across Kentucky. The flexible network infrastructure of AT&T's solution will enable the state of Kentucky to scale its network services according to the state's needs and leverage advanced performance and security features.

AT&T Spreads $66 Million in Communications Capabilities across South Carolina
AT&T Inc. today announced a five-year $66 million contract with the state of South Carolina to provide state agencies, local and county governments, school districts and libraries with advanced communications services.
AT&T is already the primary provider of communications services to South Carolina. The new AT&T contract will provide voice services to more than 3,000 locations. AT&T Inc. and Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) today announced plans to deliver AT&T Wi-FiSM service at more than 7,000 company-operated Starbucks locations across the United States. The initiative brings together two of the most recognizable global brands to create a powerful and convenient online experience for consumers and business customers. Starbucks and AT&T will offer a mix of free and paid Wi-Fi offerings at Starbucks stores to meet the needs of both frequent and occasional Starbucks Wi-Fi customers.
The initiative further expands the AT&T Wi-Fi network, already the largest in the United States, to more than 17,000 U.S. hot spots and more than 70,000 globally. Beginning this spring, Starbucks Card holders can enjoy up to two hours of free Wi-Fi service per day at Starbucks locations offering Wi-Fi access, while more than 12 million qualifying AT&T broadband and AT&T U-verseSM Internet customers will have unlimited free access to the Wi-Fi service. AT&T U-verse TV Reaches 1 Million Subscriber Milestone
AT&T Inc. today announced that AT&T U-verseSM TV has reached its 1 millionth customer. The subscriber milestone comes less than two and a half years after AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets introduced the only 100-percent Internet Protocol (IP) TV service offered by a national service provider. For customers who want access to blazing-fast wireless broadband service, there's one clear choice among all U.S. carriers. AT&T Inc. today announced it offers the nation's fastest third-generation (3G) network, according to data compiled by leading independent wireless research firms. AT&T's superfast 3G mobile broadband network is currently available in nearly 300 major U.S. metropolitan areas, with plans to expand to nearly 350 by the end of the year. In addition, AT&T has the best global coverage of any provider with roaming available in more than 200 countries, including more 3G roaming than any other carrier. The fastest 3G network claim is based on a variety of tests conducted by leading third-party researchers, who downloaded a variety of applications and files to test throughput and overall performance. AT&T was the winner by a significant margin. AT&T also announced it has started doubling the data capacity of its 3G markets, and nearly half of all cell sites will receive additional 3G capacity by the end of the year. The additional capacity will help accommodate the anticipated growth of 3G subscribers over the next several years. AT&T to Offer Next-Generation iPhone on Its High-Performance 3G Network
AT&T Inc. today announced it will be the exclusive U.S. provider of the new iPhone 3G, details of which were outlined earlier today at Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference in San Francisco. Under the terms of a new agreement with Apple, AT&T remains the exclusive U.S. carrier of the iPhone 3G, which will be available beginning July 11 at a starting price of $199 with a two-year contract. The iPhone 3G boasts several significant enhancements, including:
- 3G broadband wireless connectivity, which gives customers a home broadband-like speed experience when surfing the Internet, sharing files and using media-rich Web applications.
- Business-class capabilities, including e-mail, viewed on a large, touch-screen device and designed to meet the needs of companies of all sizes.
- The ability for developers, including AT&T, to create customized consumer and business applications using the Apple software developer's kit (SDK).
